Headquartered in Atlanta, Acuity is the modern version of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax, built specifically for startups and entrepreneurs.  We support clients throughout the United States who seek to offload their bookkeeping, accounting, or tax to us so that they can focus on growing their companies.  

As an Account Executive, your primary responsibility is to grow Acuity business by exceeding sales goals through successful pipeline management. From prospecting to close of the sale, you will be using inside sales strategies and techniques including but not limited to: phone prospecting, online and phone presentations demonstrating transactional analysis, and world class consultative selling. This is a chance to help a huge number of entrepreneurs improve their accounting function as well as play a significant role in establishing the sales department within Acuity.  We are looking for people who love to win, have strong business ethics, and great communication skills.  

Current sales team is 1 Account Executive, 1 Sales Development Rep Manager, and 3 Sales Development Reps.


Performance Profile: (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Cultivate leads and interest in Acuity through phone calls, email, and social prospecting.
  • Using a combination of emails and calls, develop and test messages with prospects to achieve high response rates for outbound sales programs
  • Build and maintain a full sales pipeline from prospecting to close in a defined territory, as well as track all leads efficiently in our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Speak intelligibly and genuinely with prospects about how Acuity’s solutions can help solve their challenges
  • Meet and exceed quantitative and qualitative goals for prospecting, customer contacts, presentations/1st appointments, and other sales process activities
  • Educate prospects on technical requirements, pricing, and successful onboarding during the sales process
  • Exceed monthly sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Follow up after sales to achieve referrals, grow existing business, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide feedback and coach the Sales Development team on messaging and target quality to improve lead quality and close rates.

  • Systems Experience: You have experience working with Salesforce. You quickly pickup any new systems that are put in front of you
  • Collaborative: You demonstrate teamwork through sharing of best practices and collaboration with cross functional teams to maximize the company’s success
  • Ambitious: You demonstrate independence, with a strong work ethic and self-discipline
  • Degree: You are a graduate of a 4 year university 
  • Experience: You are in the first 5 years of your sales career. You have either been a sales development rep before and are looking for your first account executive role - or - you are an accountant who has made it through a few busy seasons but would like to switch careers into a sales role but wants to leverage the accounting experience they have.  
  • Skills: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Image: You present a professional image and represent the company with high integrity and ethics
  • Rooted: You live in a tech hub - SF, NY, Boston, Austin, Atlanta, Denver, RTP, etc. We are not relocating anyone.
